We take responsibility for climate protection by several measures. E.g. by reducing the number of flights where possible, using video-conferences and many more. Nevertheless, the projects, conferences and also office operations of the foundation inevitably generate CO2 emissions. These are recorded in the form of a carbon footprint and partly compensated with the help of a compensation project. Our founder, Munich Re, compensates emissions from the foundation’s offices and the business trips of employees.

*) Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, almost all face-to-face meetings, on-site events and business trips were cancelled. These normally cause a large part of our CO2 emissions. In 2020 and 2021, emissions were correspondingly low.
