Agenda
The aim of the field trip is to provide ICII 2024 participants with insights into local insurance systems and give them the opportunity to meet customers. The visit will focus on Kageshwori Manahara Metropolitan Council, Gagalphedi, to understand the management of agricultural insurance in Nepal and explore other retail insurance schemes such as home insurance.
Current insurance policies:
- Livestock Insurance: Covers animals such as cows, buffaloes, goats, poultry, etc.
- Crop Insurance: Includes crops like paddy.
- Household Insurance
Planned insurance policies:
- Coverage for various crops such as ginger, black pepper/Sichuan pepper, turmeric, potatoes, etc

Objective
The programme and information is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the local insurance landscape, with a focus on agricultural and household insurance practices in Nepal.
This will allow participants to:
- gain insights into the local inclusive insurance systems,
- understand the management of agricultural insurance in Nepal,
- learn about other retail insurance options such as home insurance.

The ICII 2024 will be hosted by the Nepal Insurance Authority, Nepal Insurers' Association and the Life Insurance Association in cooperation with Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network. Alongside this conference, other entities organise field trips independently. The organisers of the ICII 2024 cannot be held liable for any claims arising in connection with such trips.
