About the conference
The Insurance Federation of Egypt is organizing the 3rd Microinsurance Conference for the third year respectively. The conference will take place in February 3-5 , 2024 in Luxor, Egypt.
Microinsurance is an important an important step towards achieving sustainable economic development, encouraging investment in small and micro-enterprises, and increasing purchasing power. Therefore, supporting and developing microinsurance in emerging countries achieves direct and indirect goals that lead to inclusive growth, sustainable development, revitalizing the economy, creating more job opportunities, enhancing financial inclusion, and reducing poverty.
Microinsurance is widely recognized as an important vehicle for economic development. Besides, it is an effective tool to the vulnerable segments to have the ability to face the risks that they may confront, as it is protecting their sources of income. Thus, microinsurance can be seen as a way to improve social stability and support broad-based economic development.
Experts from around the world will discuss and identify ways of accelerating growth and economic viability in microinsurance. The conference is aiming this year at shedding light on the important role of microinsurance in developing emerging countries and how it can be a tool to promote sustainable development in these countries. Besides, discussing the impact of innovations in financial inclusion on microinsurance.
